Adding a few more details on Saturday's 10 a.m. bike ride. The trail at the YMCA starts behind the Rollaway. There is a nice parking lot there.  Nearest restroom is at the very front building of the YMCA.  By the way they are having a open house there tomorrow from 9 to 1200.  They are excited to tell of the things they have to offer, especially for us seniorssmiley

Great to see everyone. Bummer to not be able to spend more time with each of you. So interesting lives.

Good Morning!

I want to thank all of the committee members (you were all amazing) and also those special classmates who stayed around both nights to "undecorate".  We had over two hundred on Friday and Saturday night!  All of you coming is what makes our Class Reunions the success they have been over the years.  We hope everyone enjoyed their "50th" Class Reunion and we also hope you continue to use the website to keep connected.

Many people asked last night how many was in our class.  The official record they gave me 30 years ago when they gave me our class names was 552.  I also have an Advocate article that headlines Newark Class of 1968 graduates 552!!

I pray for Safe Travel to all of you traveling today.  I will see some of you at the Schooll Tour at 12:30 PM in front of the Gym (the same one that was our gym in 1968.)

Our POST reunion meeting is set for Monday, September 17 at 6:00 pm at the church!  Everyone is invited!

God Bless,

Peg

Terrific event.  Thank you to Peggy and the committee who made it possible.  Rekindling old friendships is priceless.  What fun hearing old stories (some of which had been forgotten). Life changes and time goes so fast --- look forward to another one before another 50 years. Be well. Charla

Just thought I would put up the group picture we did at the Reunion.  So glad so many came to our 50th.  It was good to see everyone.  We will be posting an album on this website as soon as we get all the pictures compiled and I get back from a much needed rest at Lake Erie.

Ditto to all said above in relation to the hard work of the committee in making such a lovely two evenings.   But the tour of the high school was significant to me and I know to others.   I have no idea of how many other districts participate in “A call to college” but I was very impressed. I have already donated but plan on adding on the near future.  Hard to recognize our school but very impressed with all the progress!   Thanks for the wonderful weekend!  Janet Yost  Maney

It was truly a wonderful reunion. It was great to reunite with past friendships and make new friends with classmates that I really didn’t know 50 years ago.  I haven’t been to every reunion, but this was the best.  Enjoyed working on the decorating committee.  Kathy Applegate Danver did a fantastic job of leading us.  Linda Brucker, please let the caterer know that she did a fantastic job on the meal.  It was delicious.  I’m waiting for the next one, but I think I need 5 years of rest.

What an awesome class we have!   It sounds like a great time was had by all....I know I had an enjoyable and memorable weekend!   I am so glad that those of you who live far away chose to make it a priority and come back to see us!  We had a  great turnout and it was so much fun to see classmates we haven't seen for 50 years!  (how can that be possible??)   I know I get so busy in my everyday life that I just didn't realize how much I missed the friends of my youth until we were all together.  Take care and see you all in five years and maybe before!  Thank you to both the Reunion Committee and classmates for making this such a successful time together!

Thank You !  Thank You Peggy !  You Are The Best !   I also saw a lot of other People on the Committee Working that night...A Great Night !  Thank You All !  It was so FUN !  Reminded me of that child’s game that has rows of faces that you flip till you find faces that match, Maybe we should play that game to exercise our memories in the coming years..”OUR MEMORIES ARE GREAT! CLASS of 68”.  I didn’t get around to see everyone I wanted to  : (  I missed being in the Wilson picture. Peggy got me & said to get in one so I’m in the Roosevelt one.  I did go there in the 1st grade & have the picture which I WILL find. I also have the morning Woodside kindergarten class picture that I haven’t seen yet Thanks  to John Babcock (John B) for hosting Us & Others at the ELEMENTS after the reunion. Pizza &  Friendship a good combo!  Mike Cramer ...You are AMAZING !  Um-teen left handed push-ups with your right hand behind your back !  You must stop doing that !  Someone may have to call 911 & have to pound your chest & give You mouth-to-mouth.....Oh....I get it now....You must Stop! You want to have more Good Memories!  ps...it was fun being called by my maiden name... Jay & I had our 46th wedding anniversary Sunday and We are “Still Crazy after All these Years” ....looking foreward to the next time whenever it is....
