We will miss all of you who aren't able to make it but understand the crazy schedules we all have!  I thought once I had raised my kids I'd be bored with nothing to do but I am busier than ever!

Larry:

I'm sure you are busier than anything right now, but I'm wondering if you could mention here the tentative time the vets were talking about getting together at the Am. Legion Wednesday, 8/22. I was thinking about dropping in. Its too bad there are  a few who wanted to but can't make it. Also, Peggy, everyone really active in it, and you have done a great job getting this whole thing together.  BTW, have you ever heard anything about Don Shrock? He's still probably taking apart the Valley Drive-In sound speaker! LOL

My bad: that veterans get together was talked about for Thursday 8/23, not Wednesday. Does anyone know what time was mentioned for it to start?

Hello!   We are bringing a case of wine on Saturday night. Stop by our table to toast our good fortune at being able to be here and celebrate our 50th reunion.  That is unless we have gotten to your table first!!!  Safe travels to all. See ya!

Hello to all of the class veterans who are interested in gathering at the Legion post on 6th street on Thursdsay evening after dinner.  The post has a scheduled meeting that evening, but we are welcome to use their bar and shelter house.  I expect to arrive about 6:30 pm and will stay as long as classmates remain.

This is intended to be an informal get together for the sake of camaradie and there is no agenda.  Thanks to all who headed our country's call and 'Welcome home'.

The Mixer is Friday, so there is no conflict with the veterans meeting at the Legion on Thursday.

Hello Everyone !  Jay & I are so looking foreward to being there & seeing You All ! Some old high school insecurities popped up but...I think PHIL JENKINS is getting Us there ...we would always get word that He & Margaret were asking about us ( we doubled ) & now he will just have to make a “Celestial Appearance” (hope that happens & He brings others from our class with him) . So Sorry Margaret he was such a Cool Guy , so easygoing, relaxed and FUN! Bet You two were the best parents. I read somewhere advise for going to your 50th reunion is....Pretend your in kindergarten & your class is doing a play & You are all dressed up as Old People ......look in their eyes and you will see them.......then look at the name tag....ha ha......Bon Voyage...Denise Dishon NHS 68, Ohio University, Athens 72

Kathy is the mixer Thursday or Friday? What day are we going to decorate? I received a message saying the mixer is going to be Friday and the Veterans meeting is going to be Thursday. So does that mean the meal is going to be Saturday?

Veterans meet at the Legion on Thursday, the Mixer is at the FOP on Friday, and the dinner is at St. Leonard on Saturday.

Denise, such great advice!  I have always been insecure about walking into a room full of people; years ago I took a Dale Carnegie class and that helped.  After that my classes at Ohio State helped, but I still feel it

Good morning to all.  My husband Bill and I are now in Newark and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at both the mixer and dinner.  We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott on Church Street at the west end of town.  Thank you for the committee and all their hard work planning this 50th reunion.  You’ve done a terrific job.
