Two little notes about registration for the 50th Reunion:  If you register here on the website, don't forget to send payment to Linda Brucker.  Also, if you send payment to Linda first, make sure you register on the website under "50th Reunion".  We need to know numbers to plan for food.

We now have the Forest Hills Gold Outing posted as an event for the 50th Reunion.  If you plan on coming, please register here on the website ("50th Reunion"), so we can get a handle on numbers.  The golf outing is Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M., August 25th.  Payment will be at the golf course.

Hello!

There are over 110 people signed up to come to the Class Reunion and several people have signed up for the Golf on Saturday!.  If anyone needs any assistance getting signed up for the reunion or the golf, please put a message to me on the forum or give me a call.  740-344-7561.

If anyone you know doesn't have a computer or needs us to get them signed up, please let any of the committee know.  I have signed up a few people by creating an e-mail for them and signing them onto the Website.  They can use Facebook or the Class Website to get a hold of Larry Wilson, Charlotte Barch McPeek, Jan Burch Campbell, Donetta Phillips Kirk, Bob White, Linda Miller Brucker......anyone!  There are over 20 people working on the reunion!!  You will be amazed at all of the work people are doing to make this a memorable event for the Great Class of 1968!!  We don't want anyone left out.

Looking forward to seeing Everyone the week-end of August 24-26 smileyheart

Here's another school picture - this one from Cherry Valley Elementary.  My, how we have changed.  Thanks to Dave Smith for submitting the photo.

Many thanks to the two Davids, Smith and Roach, for the photo archaeology work.  I noticed from my 6th grade Cherry Valley class that two photos apparently were deemed necessary to capture the super-sized personalities of Charles Snow, Tim Powell, and Steve Betts!  But also sad to note that Charlie, Susan Schuyler, Gary Harner, and John Clark (and perhaps I missed someone else) are no longer with us.

Jan Burch and Larry Campbell - 1968 Prom.  What a cute couple - still together after all these years.

The picture of Larry and I was taken prior to going out for dinner before the prom. Thanks for posting the picture Larry. You made it look pretty good for the poor quality of picture you had to work with, Jan

I am sad and disappointed to say I won't be attending after all. A rare opportunity came up to buy a place here in my little hamlet of Palouse, Washington, and I'm jumping on it. I'll be a first-time homeowner at age 68. Makes me shake my head at the thought. Anyway, I hope everyone has a fun and wonderful time reminiscing. I would like to buy a CD, if I may.

Malcolm congratulations on becoming a homeowner. sorry you can not attend the 50 year class reunion, was looking forward to discussing the Seattle Seahawks.

Congratulations on being a new homeowner, Malcolm.  I hope the walk to the bar will be closer now.  Sorry I won't be able to help you move in, but hold off on the house-warming party until I can get there.  If you can't wait, we could always have a second party when I can get there.  You will be missed on the crusing around Nerk that we have talked about in our recent messages.  I will miss the weekends spent sleeping on your couch and hope to see you as soon as reasonable.  Good luck my friend.

Malcolm, Hope your new home is as commodious as the ancestral Montgomery estate in Newark, which dazzled the young McDonald on his first visit like some village rube invited to Downton Abbey.  But now we classmates lose the chance to see if your threads retain the casual panache you displayed in '62!  (See #533, front row, second from right.)

Thank you all for the thoughts. Believe me when I say this is nothing special and needs a lot of work. But I needed a ground-level walk-in with wide passages because I don't get around so well anymore. A modified double wide (yup, a treller, in Ahia-ese) provides this. I am a two minute walk to downtown at mosey pace. Way more space than I need! Anyway, after twelve years with no room for visitors, I have that now for anyone who finds themselves in the provinces. Have fun, all, and I am truly sorry to miss our 50th as, like Steve mentioned, I haven't seen many of you since our gradualtion. BTW, after Mom passed away in 2011, among the things she saved for each of her kids was my graduation program. No pictures, but I didn't really need any to refresh my memory. Cheers!

Hi Malcolm!  You will be missed at the Reunion this year!  I totally understand and hope all goes well with you and being a first time home owner.  I have never been to your part of the country and would love to head that way in the next few years.  Take Care and enjoy "moseying" into town.

Peg

Toad!

Damn. Been looking forward to seeing you again since the last time I found you several years ago sitting at the Broadway Pub in Granville. Sounds like you made a good decision so I'm happy for you. I'm retired now and have thought a lot about getting around to see other parts of the country that I haven't already seen and your neck of the woods is one of them. May have to schedule a road trip next spring while we're both still alive. Take care my friend!

Hi Malcolm, I too am sorry you will miss the reunion.  As you also live in Washington State, I was hoping to touch base.  If you ever cross the mountains to this side of the state and need a place to stay, we have extra bedrooms.  Enjoy your new home.

Looking forward to our 50th. Just think: Most of us will be 80 in 12 years.
