A Celebration of Life honoring Sharon Ann Giles, 75, of Columbus and formerly of Newark, will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 3-6:30 P.M., Friday, January 16, 2026. All are invited to come and celebrate the vibrant memory of Sharon with plenty of music, fellowship, and laughter.
Sharon, a 1968 graduate of Newark High School, died on January 8, 2026. She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 3, 1950, to the late William and Louise (Hysong) Giles Jr.
A talented seamstress for the majority of her life, Sharon worked with Longaberger and Limited Brands. Her talent and creativity with the sewing machine was unlimited and she took great pride in sewing countless dresses for her daughters, including their wedding gowns. Most recently she loved creating things for her granddaughter whom she absolutely adored.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters and their spouses, Bridget Henry (Helder Delgado) and Jessica Henry (Megan Ralston); her beloved granddaughter, Bianca; her grand paws, Ace and Dezi; former husband, Daniel R. Henry; brother, William J. (Linette) Giles and their daughter Tressia; sister-in-law, Connie Giles; and her faithful canine companion, Lexi.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Dean E. Giles; and sister, Tamara Sue “Tammy” Life.
