March 28, 1950 - March 5, 2007

A funeral service for John A. Clark, 56, of Newark, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, with the Rev. Frederich A. Weber officiating.  Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Newark.

John, a claims processor for State Farm, passed away March 6, 2007, at Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center.  He was born March 28, 1950, in Newark, to Robert H. and Harriett R. (Winter) Clark.

John was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Newark Maennerchor.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Robert L. Clark, of Newark, and Richard A. (Susan) Clark, of Texas; sister, Pamela S. Rittenhouse, of Newark; neices and nephews, Rob (Sandy) Clark, of South Carolina, Josh Clark, of Jacksontown, Todd (Kelly) Clark, of Newark, Katie Rittenhouse, of Zanesville, and Travis Rittenhouse, of Newark; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and the extended Bowden families.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St.

John worked at State Farm in Newark all his life. He and I went to Las Vegas in 1973 for the first time, 35 years ago. We also served together on the Land of Legend Festival Committee many years. We exchanged Christmas cards. I would always get his card the day after Thanksgiving. Bill Clifford

William Clifford

John Clark, age 56, died in March of 2007. He worked for State Farm in Newark for his entire life.

He is survived by his Father, Mother, two Brothers and one Sister.

Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home handled arrangements. He is buried at Wilso Cemetery, north of Newark.

For a few years he battled mouth and throat cancer. He died at Licking Memorial Hospital.
