     It appears many of us have developed vision problems. Several members of reunion commitee didn't know this little tidbit until I told them, so thought I would share it with all. At the top of the message forum page is a little box that alows you to make a choice. Latest message at bottom or latest message at top. Hope this helps.

Is there some reason addresses have disappeared from profile page. Is it a privacy concern?? I know of other associations that have also stopped providing address lists.

It is up to the person to post their address or not. 

I have Updated the front page of website.  A lot of people have been adding their profiles.  We still have many bouncebacks.  Please remind people you see to update their e-mail address.  Reunion committee meeting on August 20 at 6:00 PM at Damon's.  Please join us.  Mike Kelley has contacted Licking Springs Golf Club and arranged a golf outing for Saturday morning September 28 at 8:00 am.  Just show up and play!

I attended the July 20 get-together put on by the Great Class of 1967.  There were lots of 1966 and 1968 graduates there.  It was great to see many of you!!  And those Pendelton's....still have it!

    I understand what you are saying. My point is that earlier this year ,  I updated my address, home phone and cell phone information with a classmate only lock and now that information is erased. I was just wondering why?   I was at the Grotto Party too, but due to the close quarters and my disabilities, I couldn't get around much. Enjoyed it though.

Steve:  I know what you mean.   If you click on Edit Contact Info, it states that your address & phone numbers are only available to the site administrator & cannot be seen by other classmates.  Don' t know when this changed.

I would suggest Courtyard by Marriott  off Church St. 344-1800, Hampton Inn in Heath 788-8991, Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark 788-1200 unless someone else has a better idea.  The only other good ones would be Granville Inn or Buxton Inn in Granville.     Good luck.

Another motel suggestion would be the Holiday Inn Express in Heath. I think it used to be a Howard Johnson.Seems like my youth group from church had a swim party there once. Thanks Diane, I guess I understand the Profile changes. As we age,  change becomes harder to take. I see that Pub 49 is done already and the Grill at 21st is to reopen. I think Damons is a better idea anyway.  Is there something else happening that weekend in Newark?? OSU plays Wisconsin at 8:00 PM Saturday on ABC and ESPN .  Maybe there's something at Trails?

I checked with the site "owners" and they said people don't want their addresses to be seen, so they have never allowed that feature to show.  I didn't realize that until you brought it up.  I thought maybe I clicked something I shouldn't have which is highly possible!

Paula, glad you found a hotel.  The Marriott is very nice.

Boy, can we pick them. I saw in todays paper that Jerry McClain has taken ownership of the Newark Metropolitan Hotel.

I think we should be OK though since we have a contract. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Some have said that they don't think a 45th is necessary, but we have lost 13 classmates since our 40th. A lot of classes have gone to yearly get togethers after the 40th. "I kind of like the aspect of a multiple year reunion. I wish I was able to play golf, Mike. Maybe next time. I 'll work on a one handed swing.

Just finished sending emails to all missing classmates that have an email address listed in the 2010 Newark High School Alumni book. Most of them came back as address failures. I think I did get through to a couple people though.

Hello All,

Just a reminder to get your reservation to Jan for the Saturday nite get-together at the Metropolitan Hotel.  This will probably be our last Saturday Night Reunion planned by this group.   We have talked with others and we have decided maybe get with class of 1967 or 1969 and have a get-together in July every year.  It appears most don't want the Saturday nite commitment.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday, September 27 at Damon's and or the Metropolitan Hotel in Downtown Newark on September 28!

Forty-five years, I remember when I thought that was really old people having their class reunion.  And guess what, now it is us.  It is amazing how fast time goes.

I think we should still plan a Saturday Night for our 50th. The problem with this reunion is a lot of our classmates are still working and are probably thinking that by the 50th they will be retired with time on their hands. We need to find more of the missing classmates between now and then. There was something in todays paper about a 40', 50's 60's reunion Saturday, I believe at the Elk's.. $5.00 admission with music by the Pendletons.
