I know most of you might not remember me, but I agree that the fall colors and weather would be a great draw, especially for those of us who don't get up to Ohio during that time of year (I'm in Florida).

Golly Dave....  How can that be?  I am only 55, and have been for only a few short years..  October is a great time of the year to get together.  It is amazing how time has crept up, and seems to be a more important entity.  I hope we can all make it to the 50th and rejuvenate lost connections.  Good health to all.

Love the idea of October reunion. Just one question though... Will the dairy isle still be open at that time of year so we can get chicken sandwiches while visiting our old stomping grounds?! 😀

Thanks to those of you responding and responding favorably toward an October reunion in 2018.smiley  Hope to hear from still more.  Don't know about that Dairy Queen...IS there still a Dairly queen?  Good to hear from all of you.

Dairy Isle will still be open. My grandson says they have the best chocolate ice cream. And there is a big difference between Dairy Isle and Dairy Queen.  Hope to see you here.

I think a reunion in October would be great. The weather is better and the color of fall is great. The Dairy Isle on Church St is open year long!!!

I think y’all (remember, I live in South Carolina now) are a little premature in planning for a reunion more than 2 years in the future.  Half of the current survivors of our class will be dead by then and the other half won’t remember where Newark is.  Ha Ha!

Hope I’m alive and can find it!

I think that's a great idea I live in DC in a lot of humidity and political BS. I also agree with Larry should have mixers every year or even a couple times of year. Everyone be safe and if you are in DC call a brother lol.

Agree with Larry and Gary, more mixers, but the fall of 2018 sounds good....

A Fall reunion would be great. Give date preference to the folks who have far to travel, like the West Coast crowd. Maybe we could work it so we could attend a NHS football game. I also agree we should have annual mixers.

My last semester of teaching will be the Spring semester of 2018, so by October I should be tanned, rested, relaxed, and ready.  (Wasn't that a '68 Nixon bumper sticker?)  Besides, our frightening 50-years-later visages will coincide nicely with Halloween!  Just joking . . . few faces are more treasured in my mind.

Roger:

What you just sent included a couple of the funniest lines I have seen in awhile. Current television could use some actually funny comedy writers. LOL  Anyway, my last year of full-time H.S. teaching was in 1980, and my old joke is that I'd rather go back to 'Nam than do that again! BTW, didn't you attend Wilson Jr. High, along with Dave Richards, myself, Roy Hodges, etc.? Speaking of Richards, do you happen to know is he still in Southern Cal. today?  Looking forward to seeing you and everyone,

David Roach

Roger, I'm sure you don't remember me because I moved to Florida my Junior year, but Spring of '18 will be my last year of teaching also.  I wonder how many of our classmates became teachers?

Fall of 2018 sounds good other than the fact that 50yrs will have past. Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. Look forward to seeing everyone and catching up.

Hey guys -  I was just looking at classmates we have lost over the years and noticed that according to Jan Burch, in her comments at his passing, that Jeff English had done 2 tours in Vietnam and he is not recognized as a veteran with a flag beside his name. I thought whoever is in charge of that should know. Thanks,
