William Edward Sunkle

February 14, 1949 - December 24, 2020

William Edward Sunkle, age 71, of Heath, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital. William was born February 14, 1949 in Newark, Ohio to the late Virgil Frederick Sunkle and Mary Ethel (Jeffries) Sunkle Milhoan.

Bill retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for 40 years. He was a member of the Newark Moose and Newark Eagles. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, especially the OSU Buckeyes. Spending time on Lake Erie in his boat “Midnight Magic” was his passion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Sue (Myers) Sunkle; son, Jeffrey W.J. Sunkle of Newark; granddaughter, Tynika S. Sunkle (fiancé Matthew Carter); sister, Connie (Carroll) Danielson of Clarksville, Virginia; brother, Cary (Connie) Sunkle of Galena; step-brothers, Michael (Valerie) Keaser of Heath and Harry Lee (Mary Ellen) Bonner of Florida; and several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Z-man, Pat and Mark O and many other beloved friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deirdre Ann Marie Sunkle.

At his request, no visitation or service will be observed.
