Greg Lucas Obituary

Greg "Coach" Lucas, 57, of Phoenix passed away on Friday August 29, 2008 after a 4 year battle with cancer. Greg was born & educated in Ohio, and was an Ohio State University alum. After graduation Greg taught in Ohio for 5 years before moving to Arizona. He continued his Physical Education teaching career here, in the Washington School District for 30 years. He retired in May 2008. Within those 30 years Greg worked with the United Way & the American Heart Association "Jump Rope for Heart". Greg was a highly respected soccer referee and was Arizona's first National Soccer Referee. In Greg's spare time he loved to country dance & ride in motorcycle rallies. Surviving Greg are his 2 children Cody 15, Haley 13, & his wife Kay.
